The Royal Oak Jingle takes place Saturday, December 10th and will fill Downtown Royal Oak with traditional holiday activities like photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, live reindeer, a cookie crawl and a Light Parade on Main Street in the evening and tons more.
The Royal Oak Jingle Cookie Crawl is one of the newest family and friends’ traditions. Guests will receive a Royal Oak Jingle commemorative cookie tin and will crawl from participating businesses in the Downtown Royal Oak area to collect delicious holiday cookies that are baked by local bakeries.
The Royal Oak Jingle Light Parade will take place on Main Street, between Lincoln and Eleven Mile. The parade will feature floats from The Parade Company which will be illuminated and programmed with live entertainment by local clubs, businesses, and more. Once Santa arrives, the Mayor will give him the key to the city and children will get to visit with him in a heated tent.
Find the perfect gifts while enjoying the sounds of the holidays at the Winter Market. Located off 3rd St., the heated tent will be the check-in point for the Cookie Crawl. You can also stay warm while enjoying live music; hand-crafted merchandise from local vendors; a cash bar and a made-to-order hot cocoa bar for the young and young-at-heart. The Winter Market will be open from noon until 10 p.m. Jingle visitors can also play outdoor games, enjoy s’more stations and other tasty treats from a variety of food trucks right outside the tent!
Must be 21+ with valid ID to purchase and drink alcohol!
The festival kicks off with the ever-popular cookie crawl. Participating local businesses around downtown Royal Oak will be passing out delicious cookies from local bakeries between 1pm-6pm. You must purchase a cookie crawl package to receive a crawl pass that will be stamped at each location when you pick up your cookies. Each pass will include a tin and a map of the cookie crawl locations where you can pick up your cookies. Don’t forget to shop local at a participating businesses while you’re picking up your cookies.
You are only allowed one (1) cookie per pass.
Passes do not get everyone in your group a cookie.
MUST CHECK-IN BY 4:30 PM. Allow 90 minutes or more to complete the crawl. Parents DO NOT have to purchase a pass to do the cookie crawl with their kids. All kids must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If the footprint is too large for your little one, please feel free to take short cuts, but go in the same direction as everyone else. Make sure you use the crosswalks.
